A Storytelling Duo
Tell me more, why don’t you?
Bella knew Camila was her destiny because her black velvet pants with embroidered stars were totally sick. Camila knew meeting Bella was kismet when she peed those pants laughing as Bella explained the intense hierarchical structure of the mole people living under Las Vagas. Both girls had arrived in London only hours before and were meeting their acting cohort at an ancient pub ahead of starting classes at RADA’s Shakespeare Conservatory the next day.
Bella needed that summer to change her life. Camila is the one who changed it. Camila needed a friend who could make her feel less queasy in such a foreign land. Bella felt like home.
The Scribbly Nobodies are friends of the dark, absurd, and unreasonable. They live exactly 2,444.55 miles away from each other on opposite sides of the country. But ever since sleeping butt to butt for two months in London, they share a wing of their brain. That wing is full of monsters, British accents, talking body parts and, as always, heroes and hope. From The Bad Bad Thing, a children’s book following a little boy and girl who are plagued by the presence of a tangled creature of darkness as they move from house to house with their talking pebble friend, to Vulva Holmes, an illustrated satire series following the notorious detective and her ongoing search in Edwardian England for missing orgasms, and more which has yet to come.
Bella has never been alone since Camila moved into her head and started drawing the mess around her. Camila will never have to be alone with Bella living under her frontal lobe, eating all her snacks and babbling about Greek mythology. Really, the Scribbly Nobodies are just two girls who figured out how not to be lonely, and who make stories to help other people feel less alone.

Bella graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Comedy Writing and Performance in May 2023. During the comedy studies’ semester at The Second City, she worked full-time as a writer and performer to produce a full-length sketch revue. She accumulated work experience as a production coordinator for The Chicago Comedy Film Festival (2021) and as a development intern at Mosaic Media Management (2023).
After completing undergrad, Bella moved to L.A and worked as a Casting Assistant at MTV and was then promoted to Casting Producer on a development project for another major network. Her pilot script, FOOL, was selected as a finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Competition, earning her a spot on Coverfly’s Red List.
Recently, Bella finished assistant directing on a vertical series produced by Jolifess as she continues to finish writing her debut novel. She is excited to bring the children’s book, The Bad Bad Thing to Printer’s Row Literary Festival this September and start writing Vulva Holmes alongside her collaborator Camila.
It may also be important to mention she is an international spy and might know where Judd Nelson is hiding out.
